Bourbon Butterscotch Banana Bread

The triple threat of B. Rich flavors, high moisture, and truly decadent.


Bowl #1

141g softened butter

177g dark brown sugar

1 1/2 tablespoons vanilla extract

1 whole egg

1 egg yolk

2 1/2 tablespoons vegetable oil

1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon

1 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda

1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

1 1/2 teaspoons salt

Bowl #2

4 large bananas, smashed

2 tablespoons bourbon

106g honey

Bowl #3

336g all-purpose flour

On the sidelines:

5 ounces butterscotch chips



Preheat the oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit and line the bottom of a loaf pan with parchment paper. Lightly spray the pan with non-stick spray.


Whisk together the wet ingredients in bowl #1.


Whisk together bowl #2 and stir into bowl #1.


Mix the flour of bowl #3 with the wet ingredients and stir until just combined. Fold in the butterscotch chips.


Bake until a cake tester comes out clean and the top of the bread is lightly firm- around 45 minutes depending on the strength of your oven.


Cool completely in the pan before removing.
